New Year, New Look

New Year. New Look

Welcome to the first edition of VH Edit where we will share all things home and business, together with a good dose of daily life musings!

It’s been an exciting start to 2020, kicking off the launch of our new brand and website, together with some exciting new ventures to share with you all!

Aside from starting the year with some fabulous projects in the works, we’ve been working behind the scenes developing an extension of our brand called VH Design Co. An online platform designed to educate & empower women within the industry who want to become a designer or up-level their business. We feel so passionate about what we do and are at a point in our career, where we want to give back our knowledge and provide support to other designers and decorators in the industry. Without giving away too much, what we can say is our launch is only weeks away but until then, we thought we would share the inspiration behind our new branding and the launch of our latest Seashell Artwork Collection.

OUR INSPIRATION

Whenever we start a project or venture, we always start with a vision board of sorts to help get into the creative flow and to align our vision for a project. It’s one of the tools we use with clients to help communicate the overall look and feel we are wanting to create for a home. It’s a great way to visualise our ideas, visions and goals not just for our business, but for our life too. Our vision board helped us to grow and evolve our VH brand, we hope you love it as much as we do!

SEASHELLS BY THE SEASHORE

We love to think of decorating with shells not as a trend that can pass quickly, but more as a symbol of a collected home. From memories as a child collecting seashells on the beach and the joy it brings when we find one of mother nature’s gifts that hasn’t been broken or stood on. It’s the simple pleasures in life that are found, loved and treasured.

Our latest collection was inspired by our own collection of seashells, memories of holidays by the sea with family & friends and living by the beach. We wanted to show off the beauty and form of each shell and it’s unique character and beauty. The colours of warm whites and earthy tones, always timeless and beautiful. Whether it’s a beach house or a city apartment, we want you to be able to bring a touch of nostalgia into your home interior, wherever you live.

Whilst we've been busy preparing the launch of VH Design Co and our other exciting ventures, we thought we would share what projects we're working on.

We've spent the past year working on a new build, a stunning Classic American style home on the Gold Coast. We specified all of the internal and external finishes and we are now at the stage of seeing it come to life with the final stages almost complete!

We've also been busy finishing off a luxury Brisbane city penthouse with all it's finer details. It’s so important to us that all our projects are styled, we don't just provide furniture, it's the details in the styling that really makes a house a home.

Last week we returned to a beachside apartment on the Gold Coast to finish off a few more rooms that our clients wanted to start in the New Year. We are also kickstarting work on the revamp of our client's offices who want to create a stylish first impression.

One of our favourite projects this year is a home renovation in Brisbane, we can't wait to show you our progress in the coming months and if that’s not enough we are also furnishing a beautiful Brisbane riverfront home and few others in the process. It’s always busy and there's never a dull moment, but when you get to do what you love every single day, it hardly seems like work.

Wishing you a fabulous day.

xx Judy & Jess
