Styling Wicker Hats

Our Queenslander lifestyle reflects weekends at the beach, collecting shells and carrying our raffia baskets filled with towels, sunscreen and an interior magazine. When decorating and styling our home interior, we love these treasured items on display, not only do raffia hats add a collected, chic feel - they are always ready to go when you walk out the door and head to the beach or your next vacation.

Whilst raffia hats hung on a wall can instantly reflect a coastal style, we love changing things up and translating this feel into any home interior. These days you can see the coastal style being emulated in all different forms, from city apartments to beachside havens. Styling with raffia adds a textural layering effect, which is the quintessential Australian feel.

Anything can become an accessory in your home when displayed the right way. Whether you use a hat rack, stack them on an ottoman, create a wall of hats or display a special wide-brimmed hat on a bust decor piece, placed on a sideboard or bookcase - there’s a myriad of ways to think outside the box and add your own personal touch to your home.
