Easter at Home

There is no doubt Easter is going to be different this year and for many of us not celebrating with our extended families is sad and disheartening, but we can also use this time in a positive way to focus on all that we do have. There is so much to be grateful for.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately on the importance of family and tradition and our changing world, how so many of us now will work from home, entertain at home and look at the way we live in a completely new way. Our homes have never been so important. I love the idea of bringing back the art of entertaining in our homes (Post-Covid-19) whether it’s a dinner party or a Sunday lunch, whether you cook a feast or ask friends to all bring a dish. Food is to be shared and enjoyed with friends and family, we need to keep it simple and enjoyable. So, I know when things do go back to normal and they will, I will be entertaining at home so much more. Easter Sunday lunch is going to be small and intimate; we plan on cooking a simple but delicious meal, setting a beautiful table, playing great music and foraging in the garden for flowers and greenery and of course, hoping the Easter bunny may pay us a visit too!

We created this beautiful table setting for a family lunch last year and we thought it would be nice to share this setting again with you for some Easter Table Inspiration.

We used leftover designer fabric from Martyn Laurence Bullard fabric collection, but any fabulous tablecloth can have the same impact, have you checked out https://www.pigottsstore.com.au/ you won't be disappointed. Trying to find bamboo cutlery? We purchased ours from Juliska but we spotted them at https://alfrescoemporium.com.au/,

When setting a table we love the relaxed look of Indian hand printed tablecloths and napkins, the colours are always so vibrant and beautiful and they can make even the most simplest table setting a stand out. Bamboo cutlery is our absolute go to when we entertain. Natural weave placements are both practical and add texture and interest to your setting. Use on top of your cloth and get creative with your napkins. If fresh flowers are not an option, greenery can look just as beautiful bunched in vases or as a runner through the middle of the table, have fun being creative and make your table beautiful.

Wishing you all a wonderful Easter at home.
